Time Commitment: Flexible hours, part-time

About OSEA:

The Ontario School Esports Association (OSEA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a vibrant esports community for students across Ontario. Our mission is to provide a platform for students to engage in competitive esports, develop valuable skills, and foster a sense of camaraderie.

 

Position Overview:

OSEA is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Volunteer Esports League Manager/Coordinator. In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating esports leagues, ensuring smooth operations, and facilitating a positive and competitive experience for participating schools and students.

Key Responsibilities:

​

League Planning and Execution:

  • Plan, organize, and execute esports leagues in collaboration with the OSEA team.

  • Develop league schedules, rules, and regulations to ensure fair and competitive gameplay.

  • Communicate effectively with participating schools and teams to ensure a clear understanding of league logistics.

Participant Engagement:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for participating schools, teams, and players.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment by addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing support.

  • Encourage sportsmanship and fair play among participants.

​

Results Tracking and Reporting:

  • Monitor and track league results and standings.

  • Provide timely updates and reports to the OSEA community and relevant stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to highlight notable achievements and events.

​

Technical Support:

  • Work closely with the livestreaming and shoutcasting team to facilitate live coverage of league matches.

  • Assist participants with technical issues and ensure a smooth gaming experience.

​​

Feedback and Improvement:

  • Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.

  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of league operations and overall participant experience.

​

Qualifications:

  • Passion for esports and a strong understanding of competitive gaming.

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote, virtual environment.

  • Familiarity with esports titles and their respective communities.

  • Previous experience in league management or esports event coordination is an asset.
